These mats are great at preventing leaves, dirt, and wetness from rain and snow from getting onto the hardwood floor. They have a low profile so the front door can open over them and they stay in place. Unfortunately, one corner of the black perimeter broke off. I guess that happened during vacuuming, so be careful of that when vacuuming-maybe stand on the corners to keep them from bending when vacuuming.
